This past weekend we went to Myrtle Beach in SC, where my sister lives, for her wedding. It was a really short trip and we didn’t have much time for play..but we did manage to get to the pool a couple times and the beach a couple times..first time only for a short moment. The ocean was definitely not warm enough to swim in at this time of the year..(I swore it felt like I was dipping my feet in water filled with ice cubes!!) Kids are resilient though. They didn’t seem to mind at all. In fact my oldest got in about knee deep letting the water hit her waist..with her clothes on might I add..lol. oh well..good thing I always over-pack! haha! My older two have seen the ocean a few times and my third has seen it once but she doesn’t remember has it was when she was 10 months. She liked it but was cautious…I think she thought the water was too cold to be messing around with too. She ran from it…at least the second time we went! I wish desperately that we could go back to the Outer Banks this year, but it’s just not something in our budget this year. There is nothing more satisfying watching your children have so much fun playing in the sun, sand, and waves. Makes me smile just thinking about it. The baby was also out here with us, but strapped to my chest in our moby wrap. (I did have my husband take a picture of me and the baby strapped to me…just to show that I was there too!!..but that is for another time. lol)
San castles are always fun..especially when you can knock them down afterward
I did not ask them to hold hands..they just did..all by themselves and I caught it on cameraMakes my heart melt…and one day I will show them this when they are fighting and let them know that they do love each other. :)
She was rejoicing in the sand…thankfully it didn’t get into anybodies eyes!! I had to inform her sadly that she should not throw the sand..I didn’t know she was going to throw it..got this shot by accident. It is pretty cool though.
I seriously love the look on her face!! One of pure excitement and contentment. I’m so glad i’m able to capture moments of happiness on my kids like this, and also get to share in their happiness when playing with them
This one called to be black and white..the wind blowing through my little ones soft, wispy, blonde hair. I love her
Beach time is done..walking back with her Papa! It was definitely a whirlwind weekend, but we all had fun and my sister looked beautiful at her wedding. Now..hopefully we brought some of this sunshine and warmth back home and it stays! I’m so ready for summer!! Now continue on the circle and go visit Sarah HERE for the next blog post!!
